Fall is in the Air!

Birthday!

This was a fun cake I found at the disney website. So easy and cute. The big mound of dirt is a cake that I baked in a glass bowl, frosted and added crushed oreos. I am awful when it comes to taking pictures and forgot the camera while Isaac was opening presents but did record the fam singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Update on Isaac's Room

I was begining to think that we may never finish this project, but alas! we have. Isaac is so excited about his new room. He LOVES the bed, which was a headache to put up. But I insisted because it was a bed we had as kids and then was altered to be raised into the air. I'm not sure if that was the work of my father or of my brother. But it was sentimental and I just absolutely wanted it for Isaac.I wondered if Isaac would sleep downstairs but thus far he has. Hooraay!! It's been fun and great to have done. It just makes me very eager to carpet the rest of the basement. We told Isaac he has the nicest room in the house and he better take care of it.
I still need to put up curtains and I also thought it would be cute to put vinyl lettering (under the cars and such on the wall) that had the word of each object like car, loader, dump truck then Isaac's name on a wall.

Corner Shelf.

These were doors from our shed that Brant took off to make the door way bigger (so his four wheeler could fit in, I think only a man could understand that). A friend of mine was talking and telling me about using an old door to make a corner shelf. I was like hey I have some doors that is a great idea. The doors would have been thrown away if it was up to my husband. Anyway I talked him into helping me put this together. I thought it would be a fun, quick project. But it wasn't. But it turned out SO CUTE and I'm glad I stuck with it and didn't junk the doors.


The shelfs are in after a few nights of frustration.


Prime, paint, stain, and clear coat. Yeah just a FEW steps.

School Days

Isaac is loving school.

Into the Woods

I'm slacking and not putting info under each pic. So I got to do Cinderella's Step mothers hair for the play. That was fun and I thought it turned out well. I did it 4 night in a row. I have a pic with the witch pulling my hair and then another with her and my prince. Then my prince and I with the twins his suprised look and my crazy look. Then Nan, Leslie, and I. Also me and Cinderella's Prince. It was lots of fun and even more work.
