Rapunzel

I'm performing in a play Into The Woods on July 23, 24, and 25. Well last week at practice the director asked if I would play Rapunzel instead of Florinda. We had quiet a few role changes and some people that are no longer going to be in the play in the last week so practices have been crazy. I had done blocking and songs as Florinda and am now having to do them as Rapunzel. Yes kinda confusing. I'm not on stage as much as I was before and have less lines. Mostly screaming, singing AAAHHHss, and lots of No's. Yeah not really to exciting. But it's been fun and I look forward to performance. We have put in a lot of time practicing. I never realized how much work a play was. Let me know if you are interested in tickets.

Hi-Ho Hi-Ho IT'S OFF TO WORK I GO

I got a job doing hair at Tangles here in Preston. I start on Monday, and will probably be working about 3 days a week and maybe 20 hours. I am nervous and excited at the same time.


I also went to girls camp this week, we had a great time. I'm glad that it is over though, planning was a little stressful. The fun part was being there with the girls.

Isaac's First T Ball Game

This is how Isaac spent his time playing out field. LOL It was his first game we will see how the next one goes.

And... he is up to bat, look he is happy about that.

This cracked me up the other boys behind him were goofing off and Isaac was focusing on tossing the ball up and catching it. In his own little world. Then at another time, there are 3 girls on his team and while the other boys were goofing off Isaac was playing "throw the grass at each other" with the 3 only girls on his team. What is up with that? I hope he was flirting.

Yeah so that was interesting. We certainly need to work with him on somethings.

Isaac's New Room

Awhile back I posted some pictures of Brant framing in Isaacs room in the basement. Well we finished with the drywall work and got it painted.



Priming. I ran out of white primer and had some grey on hand it worked out well because I was painting 2 different colors anyway.



So it is suppose to look like green hills with a blue sky. Look Isaac is so proud. He even pitched in and helped a little.





I painted his bed and dresser a tan color.



For the drawer pull I found wood TIRES and spray painted them Black. I think they will be so cute.



These pictures are going on sideways and that is not how I took the pic but am to tired to fuss with it so TURN YOUR HEAD SIDEWAYS! See that is better.



Last but not least I am going to somehow adhere these cute thing on to the wall on top of the hills. There are made of wood so I have not decided if I should glue them are use something else. I have not got that far yet.

Apricot dessert??

Okay, so I canned some apricot nectar last year and was bound to use it to make something wonderful. I also had plenty of oatmeal in storage. So, I was thinking nothing could taste bad with fruit, sugar, whipped cream, and butter. Oh yeah all the good stuff. So I made something wonderful, but still need help naming it. So what should I call this?

First I mixed:

1 pint of my apricot nectar
1 cup Bisquick
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp lemon juice

Pour into a 9'x13' greased pan.



Then I mixed:

1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup melted butter
4 T brown sugar



Sprinkle on top of first mixture.



Bake at 350 for 30-35 min.
It was great warm and don't forget to top with whipping cream or ice cream!! YUMMY!!



It reminded me of peaches and cream oatmeal.

OUCH!

Isaac took a header onto the sidewalk. I think he had his hands in his pockets so his head caught him. He scrapped the first few layers of skin off so it didn't bleed but it is going to be a BIG scab. He also got a bloody nose. That poor head of his is getting a lot a scars.
